As many of you will already know, Alex Adams, one of our most dedicated and respected playing members has recently been very seriously ill. We have all been absolutely shocked at the news and I know that everyone has been trying to keep each other informed through the grapevine, with Alex and his family very much in our thoughts. The reason that we haven't put any news of this on the site before now is that I didn't feel comfortable doing so without the approval of Alex's family and it didn't appear appropriate to bother them at this very difficult time. I have, however, been in touch with Julie through her much-appreciated recent entry in our guestbook and she has said that the family are quite comfortable with us keeping everyone posted and Julie herself has agreed to keep us updated with her dad's progress.
