The Club's warmest congratulations go to a number of our young players who have recently kept up the Club's proud recent traditions in terms of representative honours. Following on from his selection for Ulster Schools, young First XI player, Andrew Cowden was honoured with selection for the Irish Schools XI. And carrying on our long association with the Belfast XI competing in the Lord's Taverners' Inner Cities Cup, both Luke Orr and Matthew Palmer were selected at Under 14 level. The tournament was a particular success for Matthew. Having come into the squad at a relatively late stage, solid bowling performances at the group stages followed by a sensational performance of 6 for 19 in the final, saw the young left-arm spinner carry off the "Bowler of the Tournament" Award and bag a two- year sponsorship deal with Gray Nicolls.
