Carrickfergus Cricket Club is delighted to announce that it intends to establish a Women’s Team for the 2017 Season. The Team will compete in the Northern Cricket Unions Women’s League. This announcement comes off the back of months of hard work by Club officials to put together a structure to encourage local women to get involved in the game. Women’s Cricket is currently one of the fastest growing sports within the UK and we are excited to be part of something that is moving forward so quickly.
Introduction to Cricket Sessions will be led by NCU Women’s Team Coach, Alex Haggan, and NCU Cricket Development Officer, Callum Atkinson, with help provided by several of the Club’s ECB Qualified Coaches.
The Introduction to Cricket Sessions, for all ages, will run in Carrickfergus Leisure Centre, from 18:30 – 20:00 on the following dates;
